SJF Ventures Wins 2017 Circular Economy Investor Award
January 17, 2017, Davos, Switzerland – SJF Ventures is proud to accept the 2017 Circular Economy Investor Award, one of seven award categories for the Circulars, which recognize individuals and organizations that have made notable contributions to the circular economy. The World Economic Forum’s Community of Young Global Leaders, in collaboration with Accenture Strategy, awarded the Circulars at the 2017 Annual Meeting of the World Economic Forum in Davos-Klosters.
The CNBC Award for Circular Economy Investor was awarded to SJF Ventures “for investing in circular economy businesses across their target sectors that simultaneously scale social and environmental impact whilst delivering sound financials.” SJF circular economy companies include Hyla Mobile, Optoro, Living Earth, BioSurplus and Novinium, among many others.
“These companies are changing their respective industries while scaling their environmental impacts, such as reselling over 2 million customer returns, reusing over 39 million cell phones, and rejuvenating over 150 million feet of underground power cable.” said Managing Director David Griest in an acceptance video for the award. “With our latest $125 million fund, we’re eager to find the next group of circular economy entrepreneurs and partner with their growth.”
