groSolar Earns Accolades over Camden WWT Solar Project

January 29, 2013

groSolar successfully completed installation of a 1.8MW solar project over the Camden, NJ waste water treatment plant.    The project is producing output at a rate of approximately 2.2 million kilowatt-hours of electricity per year, enough to meet the needs of more than 400 homes.    The number of EPC firms able to compete for this project was highly limited, given the challenges and sensitivity of building a solar project over this particular site.  groSolar was able to complete this project without interfering with normal plant operations.

Due to its complexity, the project has been nominated for the 2012 PV America East Photovoltaic Project of Distinction Award.
